CARTER'S HOPE & HEALING

Donation protected
On Saturday, November 18, 2023, Carter was admitted into the hospital with a virus and, due to a previously diagnosed heart condition, he went into cardiac arrest. Carter miraculously survived. Although progress is slow, he continues to get stronger every day.

Carter is a happy third grader who has Cerebral Palsy and other complex medical needs. He continues to be in intensive care. His mother has been by his side every day. Please consider supporting Carter and his family to help cover the cost of his medical expenses. Carter's household consists of 2 parents and 4 children, including Carter.

On November 29, 2023, Carter celebrated his 9th Birthday. Carter's friends from Glen Lake Elementary School poured their hearts into handmade cards and posters telling him to stay brave and that they miss him. Most of the drawings were of Carter's favorite things including Spider Man, Nike shoes, and birds. The paper love floods the walls of Carter's hospital room.

Carter's teacher, Sher Unruh-Friesen, says, "Our Cart Man is pure joy. I wish everyone could know him and see how other students are drawn to him. Our school is learning how precious life is. I am asked every time I am out in the hall how Carter is doing. He has so many friends. Our school thinks the world of him, and we love him dearly."

Donations of any size are all greatly appreciated and will go to support Carter's complex medical needs.
