Carter’s Emergency Medical

A parent’s / grandparent’s worst nightmare! THAT call! There’s been an accident!

My grandson Carter was in a catastrophic accident. Being his normal active 19 month old self, he was playing by the treadmill. (the NordicTrack treadmill, the one that saves space with the heavy walking deck that props up…) when the deck fell on him. A freak accident that happened in a split second crushing him underneath. NO parent wants to be on the receiving end of that call! 3 emergency rooms and 2 life flights later, he is currently in the PICU at The University of Nebraska Medical Center with a skull fracture in 3 places, stable but still vomiting blood. MRI’s, CT scans, more CT scans and even more CT scans. This brave little boy is being a strong little trooper!
