Carter Condie's Brave Battle
Donation protected
Carter Condie, son of Steve and Melanie Condie, is the sweetest 5 year old little boy. He knows everything there is to know about dinosaurs. He loves learning especially about animals. Reptiles and birds are his favorite.
In 2015 Carter was diagnosed and treated for Kawasaki disease. One of the main symptoms for this is enlarged lymph nodes. As the months passed after treatment the lymph node on the left side of his neck stayed enlarged. In October 2016, they noticed the lump in his neck starting to get larger. After consultations with an ENT surgeon the mass was removed in January 2017. Pathology tests following the surgery were inconclusive and sent to Harvard Medical School where further testing determined that the mass was undifferentiated round cell Ewings Sarcoma.
After an MRI and full body PET Scan, the cancer was found to have stayed localized only to his neck. Carter has begun intense chemo therapy treatments. Over the next several months, Carter will receive rounds of treatment every two weeks. He will also be needing a 6 week daily radiation treatment followed by further biopsy's & scans.
His family will be traveling back and forth almost weekly to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City an hour and a half away from their home & other sibling's. His family requests your prayers for Carter for the treatments to work and heal his body. People always want to know what they can do to help those that are going through tough times, and this is a tangible way to help--by giving monetarily to the Condie family.
We will keep you updated on Carter's difficult journey ahead. May God continue to bless him and his family with the courage they'll need to fight this brave battle, and may God also grant him peace and complete healing.
