Local athlete, Carter St Jean of Swastika Ontario, has made the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Canadian National Team competing in the Jiu Jitsu World Championship in Bangkok, Thailand November 2025.
Competing under the
Jiu Jitsu International Federation.
Head Team Canada Coach: Fernando Zulick. Assistant Team Canada Coach: Andrew Buckly.
This fundraiser is to help financially support his training, travel, registration, and accommodation fees to prepare for this event as well as to attend it.
To send Carter with one parent we are anticipating an expense of approximately $8000.00 - $10,000.00.
This is an amazing opportunity for Carter. He will be representing Canada as a U18 blue belt, in the 85+ kg weight division.
—There are only two individuals per age, belt, and weight division that can represent all of Canada and Carter qualified!!
Carter has been a part of the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community for 3 years. He has competed in approximately 18 competitions throughout Ontario earning over 21 medals.
He attends Bushi Martial Arts Academy in Kirkland Lake, and Total Martial Arts Centre in Timmins Ontario.
We need all the help we can get to send Carter with a parent!! We thank you in advance for any amount you can donate. It will be greatly appreciated!
