The Shutler family received news today that Carter has just been placed at the top of the transplant list at Mt. Sinai hospital in NYC. He will be admitted tomorrow with expectation for an immediate transplant. This is a scary, emotional and challenging time for the whole family with many medical and related expenses.

Carter has always been one of the sweetest, most caring boys I know - hard working, polite, too kind for his own good sometimes. Carter has fought hard with his Wilson’s disease overcoming many challenges. His decline has been fast and it was obvious immediate action was needed. He is lucky to have a great transplant team that has taken action quickly.

I, like many people have had the joy of knowing the Shutler family and have seen their constant friendship to many, always there to help anyone in need and their community. I couldn’t pick a family that is more deserving of support at this time.
