Carter Family Hurricane Wallop Fundraiser
Donation protected
Hi there,
I'm James. I've never done one of these things before, so bare with me. I'm not here for me though, I'm here for my buddy Joel Carter.
I've known Joel Carter since eighth grade. He's a great dude. Kind, compassionate, can blow bubbles made of spit. Just a solid human. Especially considering he's had more than his fair share of suffering, enduring the loss of his father and older brother. Recently, he moved to Florida to be closer to his widowed mom. When Joel and his family, Sarah (wife), Caleb, Abigal, and Grace, moved to landlocked Titusville (known for its world-famous Ghenoe boats and wild monkeys), they knew next to nothing about hurricanes.
Then when Hurricane Ian came barreling through, flooding their house, ruining all of their belongings, and cackling a sinister laugh on his way out to sea, they were all quite gob-smacked. Joel texted the day after, as the sandbags broke and the shop vac did nothing; he watched his newfangled house get ruined. They did all they could to figure this out. Fema is not helping, they had no flood insurance, and now they've got a big empty living room where all of their furniture used to be.
So he's too humble to ask for help, but if anyone is deserving, it's him. Pitch in what you can. I think every little bit will make a difference.
All the best,
James
