Never something I’d do, but when it comes to these kids…I’ll do whatever it takes. Chris (the husband) was laid off from his 17 year career a few months ago and unfortunately has not been able to find full time work yet. He still works part time and busts his butt cleaning basketball courts to help lessen the cost of some of the basketball fees. I also help with the teams communications via an app for games and practice schedules. But, it’s not enough. I’m baking and selling banana bread like a mad woman, while working full time and still trying to run a small business on top of that. It’s not enough. We are falling behind on life in general, and have not been able to make the payments we’ve promised the basketball association. In addition to that, they’re starting Highschool and would obviously want to be on the team. Camp starts the first week of June, and we need help with all of the above. These boys are in LOVE with the game and have improved so much. While we continue to struggle financially in many other aspects, I do not have the heart to let it spill over to their dreams and activities. This is not something that I’m taking lightly and to be honest, I’m ashamed. But here we are. If you can give anything at all, we would be forever grateful for that. Please help us continue to let our boys succeed in something they live for and continue to grow with.
