Team Carson: Help Him Fight Osteosarcoma. Team Carson!

Donation protected
Earlier this week, on Dec 1, 2025, our 13-year-old son, Carson, was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma — a type of bone cancer. He has two tumors: one in his right shoulder and another, larger tumor in his left knee/leg.

After many tests and scans, Carson’s medical team has determined that the best treatment plan will begin with chemotherapy starting on Tuesday. In a few months, he will have surgery, followed by another round of chemo. We’re preparing for roughly a year of treatment overall.

This has been overwhelming for our family, but we’re taking it one day at a time and doing everything we can to stay strong, informed, and focused on Carson’s healing.

As we walk through this, we know there will be inevitable financial stress—from medical expenses, travel, time away from work, and the many unexpected costs that come with long-term treatment. If you’re able, we’re asking for donations to help our family get through this season and keep our focus where it belongs: on Carson.

We’ll share updates as we’re able, especially during the big milestones. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, and any contribution you can make. Every bit helps, and we’re truly grateful. ❤️

We wanted to share some updates about Carson.

The spot in Carson’s right shoulder did not light up on the PET scan, which is fantastic news. This means his cancer is still localized to his knee and has not spread. Big hooray for that!

Carson has completed his first round of chemotherapy, which was three days in the hospital, and it’s been a rough ride. We’ve been told this first round is usually the hardest and that things should get a bit easier from here. We’re learning how his body responds so we can make things as easy and comfortable as possible for him (and all of us) next time. He’s now home resting and recovering, and he’s scheduled to return for his next round on or around December 30.

We also want to say a huge thank you for all the donations we’ve received. Honestly, we thought GoFundMe might be a shot in the dark, but we have been blown away by the response. We truly appreciate y’all and don’t know what we would do without your love and support.
