Carson’s Washington DC & New York Trip Assistance
Donation protected
5/20-update. It just got real. We had our final pre trip meeting tonight! Our itinerary is set & we received our ID badges that we have to wear the whole tour. I can’t believe it’s already almost here!! I promised my mom to video what I can. We even get to go to a MLB game-Mets v Braves! My dad is going to be jealous that I get to go to a pro game. I’m working on finding a job this summer so I can start to pay my mom back. Thank you to everyone that donated so far-it helps a lot!!

Hi, my name is Carson. I’m an 8th grader in Montana. Every year, the 8th grade class takes a really amazing trip to Washington D.C. and New York. It is pretty expensive, $3000! My mom said she would pay for half if I paid for half. But, I know it is a hardship for her since she is a single mom. She works full time while still taking care of my elderly grandma, me, and our dogs & cat. Even though she knew it would be a hardship, she said this is a trip of a lifetime and that I need to go. We get to do some amazing things. I finally get to see our nation’s capital. I’m looking forward to learning more about our government.
Two of the things I’m most excited for is to see the White House and to attend a Broadway play. My mom said these are things she’s never done, but is on her bucket list. So she’s definitely excited that I get to experience them!
Our trip will be six days, and will be fun since I’m going with classmates & our teachers. This will also be my very first plane ride!! If you can help, no matter how little, it would really take a huge financial burden off my family. I know my mom is stressed about the money, even if she tries not to show it. Thank you for considering helping my family out!
