Carson Family Woolsey Fire Recovery

Donation protected
On November 9th 2018 the Carson family were forced to quickly evacuate their home for the last 20 years due to the Woolsey Fire with nothing but the clothes on their backs.  CarrieAnn and her 2 children, Sammie (11) and Bjorn (17) were able to escape the path of the fire and thankfully are safe and now staying with friends.  Unfortunately, they received news that their home was completely destroyed in the fire.  They still have not been allowed to return to the site and sift through the ashes in hopes of recovering any keepsakes.  Additionally, with the massive amount of homes lost and damaged in the area finding both temporary and long term housing is increasingly difficult and expensive.  Finding a place to live is CarrieAnn’s most immediate need.

CarrieAnn and her family have many obstacles to clear to reach a place of normalcy, however their spirits are high, their hearts are full, and they could not be more appreciative of the thoughts, prayers, and love they have received.

It will be some time before insurance support is clear and FEMA has not yet established support. Even when insurance or federal/state support is available, it will likely not cover all of their needs. Despite everything, the Carsons remain positive and are grateful for where they are today.

Please consider a donation in any amount to help the Carson family during this trying time.  Sharing this campaign to spread the word will also help.

Thank you for any help you can provide!
