Imagine not being able to drive your children to school or having to work so late that you can't help your kids with their homework. The number of educational barriers that low-income families face is astounding. In the Silicon Valley, vehicle transportation is a necessity that many families lack.

 

Here at the Driven Education Foundation, we are committed to giving the gift of education to families in our community. To further this goal, our organization provides scholarships, mentorship, and even electric vehicles to families that need it the most.

 

Kicking off fundraising for our fourth consecutive year, the Cars for Christmas Team is so excited to welcome prospective donors—both old and new—to our organization. Now a subsidiary of the newly established Driven Education Foundation, Cars for Christmas has acquired the institutional support that had previously inhibited the scope of our fundraising. While patiently waiting on our charity's pending tax-exempt status, we decided to kickstart our fundraising early to continue our giving this Christmas.

With reinvigorated and expanded aspirations, we want to continue to enable change in the Silicon Valley through this philanthropic mission.

In the past three years, we have fundraised $46,984 and donated eight electric vehicles to low-income families. We have now elevated our goal and aspire to raise $50,000 this year alone.
