On May 27, 1978, the world was blessed with a radiant soul: Tameka Lynn Moore. To know Tameka was to know love and be seen by her — a true gift. She was the life of the party, a steady presence in times of need, and a beacon of light in Detroit whose energy lifted everyone around her.

On September 26, 2025, at only 47 years old, we tragically and unexpectedly lost her. The shock of her absence is deep, but her light remains in the countless lives she touched and in the legacy she leaves behind: her two children and four (soon to be six) grandchildren — the center of her world, her pride and joy.

Affectionately known as Grammy, not only to her grandchildren but to so many in her community, Tameka poured her heart into them. Being their grandmother was one of the most meaningful parts of her life. In her absence, we want to ensure they continue to feel her love, her warmth, and her unwavering support in as meaningful a way as possible.
