Carrying on the torch of service .

HI EVERONE!!!

This campaign was originally launched to help me pursue graduate studies full-time. But life shifted quickly. I was recently hired by the State of New York in a full-time role that places me directly in the human services field. It’s a big opportunity that allows me to serve the community, gain hands-on experience, and build a more stable financial foundation.

As things evolve, I’m coming to the decision to either attend part-time or defer my studies for the year so I can sharpen my focus, gain real-world experience, and take advantage of benefits like health insurance and the potential for state incentives to support my education in the long run. I’m not entirely sure what the path will look like, but I do know that being of service is at the heart of what I want to do—and I believe this job will help clarify and deepen that commitment.

Your support helped me get here—covering application fees, transportation, living expenses, and emotional encouragement when I needed it most. I still need a bit of help as I start this new job (I won’t receive my first paycheck until nearly a month after my start date on June 26), and any donations now will go directly toward helping me stay afloat during that transition.

This is not the end of the road—just a necessary step toward doing this work with more grounding, purpose, and experience behind me.
