Dear friends and family,I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of Ashia Robertson. Ashia passed suddenly on June 3rd, 2020. She had nine weeks left in her pregnancy and she had a placental abruption which necessitated an emergency C-section to save the baby's life. As she was recovering they found an infection in her bloodstream (disseminated intravascular coagulation) which caused her heart to stop. The medical team spent 45 minutes trying to revive her to no avail.
Ashia leaves behind 4 children: Jermaine 9, Jeremiah 7, Ella 5, Ashia 4 days old.
We named the baby after her mother. She is currently in the NICU at Snellville Medical Center in Georgia.
We are absolutely devastated by Ashia's passing and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Ashia the memorial she deserves, to honor Ashia's memory, and to say our last goodbyes.
Ashia had aspirations of becoming a kindergarten teacher. She was passionate about education so as a family we have decided to set up a 529 plan for each child to fund their college education.
I am currently asking for donations to help with the cost of Ashia's funeral expenses and 529 plans for her children. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
I loved Ashia more than I can say. I helped my sister raise her when she was a baby and I will help her children in any way that I can. She passed away before her 30th birthday. Losing someone so young is heartbreaking. For children to lose their mother so early is tragic. These children need our love and support to deal with something so heavy.
Thank you so much for your support and sympathy.
Jacqueline Moe
