My name is James Robert Fish V, and I am creating this fundraiser for myself and my three siblings after the unimaginable loss of both of our parents, Lisa Toth and James Robert “Rob” Fish IV.

Our mother, Lisa, passed away on April 15, 2026, at 1:44 a.m. Our father, Rob, passed away just two days later on April 17, 2026, at 1:26 a.m.

In less than 48 hours, both halves of our family were shattered.

My mother had been diagnosed with
stage IV uterine cancer. Her decline was painful, heartbreaking, and impossible to fully explain. She was hospitalized and eventually placed on comfort measures for more than a week, including sedation, as her body could no longer fight the disease. Watching someone you love go through that kind of suffering changes you forever.

My father’s passing was sudden, unexpected, and deeply confusing for our family. He had faced health problems before, but he had always pulled through. This time, he did not. We are still searching for answers and are working with the proper people to better understand the circumstances surrounding his passing.

Both of my parents were strong, loving, stubborn, funny, passionate, and full of life. They were the kind of people who could argue with you, feed you, laugh with you, and help you all in the same day.

My mother, Lisa, was known for her unmatched cooking skills, her ability to bring people together, and her gift for making events, holidays, and family gatherings feel special. She was courageous, wild, funny, and deeply caring. Over the years, she opened her home to family and friends who were going through hard times. If someone needed a place to stay, a meal, emotional support, or help getting back on their feet, my mom stepped up.

My father, Rob, was known for his incredible pool skills, his strength, and his service in the United States military, where he served for seven years. He was a hero to many, not just because of his military service, but because of the way he carried himself through life. He had a strong presence, a big personality, and a love for the people closest to him.

To put it simply: my mother was a saint, and my father was a hero.

Now, my siblings and I are left trying to process a level of grief that words cannot fully explain while also handling the responsibilities that come after losing both parents at once. We are working hard to honor both of their final wishes, manage funeral arrangements, handle legal matters, protect what they left behind, and keep our family from falling apart under the weight of it all.

Our family has always been the type to give, not take. Asking for help is not something that comes naturally to us. Starting this GoFundMe was not an easy decision. But the truth is, we are overwhelmed, and we keep discovering more unexpected costs each day..

Funds raised will go toward:

* Funeral and memorial expenses
* Medical costs connected to both of our parents’ final care
* Legal and attorney-related expenses as we seek answers and handle necessary matters
* Household bills and mortgage-related obligations
* Costs tied to our mother’s home
* Transportation, food, and basic needs as our family handles everything
* Helping my siblings and me stabilize while we frequently miss work and navigate this loss.

Known expenses are already significant, including funeral costs, obligations connected to our mother’s home, ongoing household bills, and legal and medical expenses that are still developing. The full financial impact is not yet known, and as more information becomes available, we may update the fundraiser goal to reflect what our family is truly facing.

Anything given is a blessing. We understand that these times are hard for the whole community. Whether it is a donation, a share, a prayer, a message, or simply keeping our family in your thoughts, it means more than we can explain.

My parents spent their lives helping others whenever they could. Now I am asking for help in honoring them, protecting my siblings, and giving our family the support we need after losing both of them so close together.

Thank you for reading our story please stay posted for more updates and information. Thank you for caring about Lisa and Rob. Thank you for helping us carry their love, their strength, and their legacy forward.
