Since they said 'I do' in October 2024, Lys & Justice have been dreaming of the day they would welcome their first child. That dream became a reality when they found out they were expecting a baby boy, whom they’ve named Atlas. At 19 weeks gestation, Atlas is already living up to his name, showing incredible strength as he faces a significant medical journey. Recently, he was diagnosed with a lower urinary tract obstruction that is affecting his amniotic fluid levels and the development of his kidneys and lungs. While we have seen God move already, clearing the path of other complications like placenta previa, Atlas now needs a miracle through fetal intervention. We have been referred to the specialist team at Texas Children’s Hospital in Austin for life-saving surgery. As a young couple starting out, the financial weight of these procedures is overwhelming. With medical costs estimated at $60,000, we are reaching out to our 'village' to help give Atlas the best possible chance at life.
