Carry the Love at UMBC Space!

It's kind of a crazy story...
We have been planning Carry the Love at UMBC for months, collaborating across Christian organizations to unify campus. What will we be doing? Worshipping God, celebrating Jesus, hearing from the fantastic folks on the Carry the Love Tour and being motivated to carry the love of Jesus everywhere.
Because this event is so early in the semester, we were only able to book paid spaces at UMBC - so we went big, and booked the Fine Arts Recital Hall.
Fortunately, SGA was planning to provide the funding we needed to use the space.
Unfortunately, they were going to vote to approve the funding at a meeting this Tuesday, January 29th.
That meeting was postponed by the snow until next Tuesday, AFTER the Carry the Love event. We can't use the space without funding approved in advance, and we aren't able to move the date of Carry the Love at UMBC. What a bind!
BUT God is a God of miracles. Every miracle in the Bible first started as a problem.
We met with fantastic folks this morning to see what we could do. After a lot of work, we found out that:
1. The UC Ballroom space at UMBC is miraculously available for the Carry the Love date and time - this is CRAZY because this was originally the space we wanted the event to be in, but it was unavailable!
2. We could use the space for nearly HALF the cost of our original space - $375
3. We need to have the funding ready in our account today in order to make it happen.
Friends, this is where we need your help. We believe this event will be an amazing chance for UMBC to unite for Jesus. We believe this problem of funding came up intentionally to move us into the Ballroom. We believe God will use this time to encourage, ignite, and fuel our faith for the semester and beyond. We believe that God can provide above and beyond our expectations.
Would you help make this possible? Please consider helping us get to the $375 needed. If just 30 people gave $12.50, we would be there!
With abundant hope, love, faith, and excitement,
~Mia
