Carry out work to new aviary space

Hi my name is Tonya and I run a pigeon and dove rescue in Newton Abbot from my garage.

I take a large number of birds every year and fund this all myself with the odd donation from people who I either collect birds from or who bring them to me.

This year one rehabber in Exeter has decided to only take domestic birds and another local rehabber is unwell so is unable to take any wildlife.

This has resulted in an increase in my intake. I do not have an aviary of my own and do not have anywhere suitable to place one. Another local rehabber has provided one of their aviaries for me to use and I am so very grateful for this but with the numbers coming in I am currently full and so is the aviary and we are not even in full bird season yet.

I have been offered use of a garage however the roof needs replacing and the inside needs some work and to be kitted out to make it a suitable space for the pigeons to go before release.

This space means that we can help more birds but I cannot afford to fund this all myself.

Any donations would be gratefully received and mean that I can continue taking birds.
