Support the Legacy of Joseph D. "Joe" Zapf
On August 17, 2025, Joseph D. Zapf tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident at the age of 40. Joe was a vibrant soul whose warmth, generosity, and love for his community left a lasting mark on everyone he met—from his hometown roots in Indiana to his impactful career at the Wisconsin State Capitol.
Joe’s greatest joy came from being “Uncle Joe” to his five nephews—Henry, Cash, Jonah, Oliver, and Ben. He was their hero, their playmate, and their biggest cheerleader. His sudden loss has left a deep void in the lives of his family, especially these young boys who adored him.
To honor Joe’s memory and continue the love and support he gave so freely, we are establishing a memorial fund to benefit his nephews and help preserve the joyful spirit he brought to their lives. Contributions will go toward meaningful experiences, educational support, and lasting tributes that reflect Joe’s values and passions.
If Joe touched your life—or if his story moves you—please consider donating to help carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity.
