In an unexpected accident Manel died in Catalonia. So many of you across the world have asked how to help or what to do to help. We have set this up fund to support Liz over the next six months as she finds her way forward. She had moved to a new country and is now having to start again and find a new way. There are many expenses coming and this is a way you can support her in what she needs over this time.
Words from Liz about Manel's death:
This is the most devastating post I never imagined writing.... On Monday morning, my beloved Manel left his body. He went to climb the Pedraforc (an iconic mountain in the Pyrenees) near his childhood home where we are in Catalonia.
He is a man of the mountains, climbed the biggest ascents on earth, this is his happy place, where he feels most free and alive.
An unthinkable accident happened... Manel died as he lived, in pure passion and love..... it was a warriors death.
My 9 years with Manel were the happiest of our lives. We lived a love that was so rare. It's impossible to say all the incredible things that Manel Casanova was a healer, teacher, husband, father, son, friend, a seeker, an angel, and so much more... He inspired so many and always brought the light of his wisdom and teaching. He birthed Universal Healing with a team of his fellow Barbara Brennan School of Healing friends and brought healing to thousands. His love and legacy will live on.
I am left to live a life without this love and my person... this feels impossible in this moment, but I will survive and live for us both, with Manel's love in my heart and life for as long as I breathe.
For now I surrounded by friends and family and so grateful for the outpouring of love for us both across the world. His funeral is on Friday afternoon here in Catalonia and we will celebrate him in Boulder when I am back.
