Our Calling:
In Matthew 28:19 We are told to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Andy and I are answering the call this year to share the gospel in China! We will be working with an almost enirely unreached people group. We will be working with local Christian leaders and their congregations to reach out to their neighbors with the Good News of Jesus. We are going with a local mission agency here in the tri-state. There will be believers from other churches and areas going with us. Specifically our trip will be September 29 - October 10 2014
As some of you may know I was in China from 2003 - 2005 Teaching English at a university there. I spent a lot of time encouraging students. Some of my fellow teachers and I started a special ministry for the girls on campus. Another important task I was able to accomplish while I was there, was the printing of English literature to help the Chinese students grow in their faith as well as improve their English. This was only accomplished with cooperation from a small local printing company that one of my student's family owned. I have had a heart for China for many years and have been eager to return for some time now. The love for the people of China has continued to pull at my heart through the years of marriage and rasing a family. Andy is my anchor in life and God has recently layed missions on his heart as well. We are anticipating great things this year!
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matt. 24:14
While we feel strongly called to Go this year, we pray you will seek your heart to see what you can do for Him this year. We haven't always been at a place we could go, but we are stepping out in great faith this year as we leave our family and trust Him to answer this call! Specific Prayer Requests:
As most of you know we have three small children that we will be leaving behind in the care of family! This will be extremely difficult! We also currently have two foster children in our care, that have been with us since October 2013. Please keep them in your prayers as well as our family and or friends that will be caring for all of these children. Our biological children are 6, 4 & 3 and our foster children are 2 & 4. At this time the parents of the foster children have abandoned them, and the courts are proceeding in terminating the parents rights. Please be in prayer for the future of our family!
