This is a RESCUE TAIL !‍

We are wanting to reach out and connect with each of you about our much beloved sister Carrie Baker. As you no doubt are aware, having spent even just a few minutes in her company, she has lived her life serving others, rescuing others, giving up the pursuit of a career in other arenas in order to follow what she felt and feels God calls her to. Recently, she called into rescuing a puppy in her neighborhood. Several neighbors thought it was her dog Junie, because this dog looks so much like her. It actually was a stray that had been abandoned and was malnourished and skittish. 

Through patience, grit, and sheer determination, Carrie won the trust of Maggie…not surprising to any of us. After a few months of takin Maggie in and providing her a safe haven, Maggie lost her sight over night from something  juvenile cataracts. 

 She is about 3 years old and it is a genetic issue, but with surgery there is about 90% success rate. There are other issues with Maggie that can be corrected through treatment, but the most pressing is to try to restore her eyesight. 

We are reaching out to you because Carrie has suffered much loss these past few years, two dogs, two cats, a dad, and brother. She also experienced the loss of her air conditioner, and refrigerator from a lightning strike recently. 

So, all of this to ask you to consider donating any amount to encourage Carrie, to help her shoulder this expense, because we all know that had Carrie known what was to come with Maggie, she would rescue her all over again!
