It is with the deepest sadness that we ask for your help for Carrie, Sal and their beautiful family as Carrie transitions into Hospice care. Though valiant and strong, our Amazing and Courageous Carrie simply is not winning in her fight with the Big Ugly C. She has given it everything she can and still it will not quit, it wants her entirely. This is not an easy choice for Carrie, but her husband and children are united in being there together to support and love her until she takes her last breaths.

Sal is and has been the sole supporter of the family since Carrie’s treatment began back in January of 2019, but now they will be without any income. He is taking an immediate leave of absence for an unknown duration. Their savings have been depleted during these last 3.5 years as one can expect while taking care of a family of 6.

Your prayers have worked wonders during these last years, but unfortunately God just wants some of his Angels a little closer to him and sooner than most of us would like. Carrie is definitely one of those people whose light is bright, whose personality is freakishly fun and positive (EVEN NOW) and who makes the world better by being in it, even if she has been in a hospital bed for over 3 months. As Carrie would say, “I have been blessed with a Great Life! An amazing and loving husband and soul mate Sal. Ridiculously amazing, talented and brilliant children (Sal Jr 21, Carly 15, Bella, 15 and Veida 12), incredible parents, brothers and sisters, and wonderful friends who love me.”

But honestly it is us who have been blessed and we are going to miss her like crazy when she isn’t there to make goofy faces, silly phrases, or sing to us, anything to just to make you laugh because well, your smile was upside down.
