Help Carrie Heal – A Selfless Heart Deserves Time to Recover

My sister, Carrie Peden, is one of the most selfless people you’ll ever meet. She quietly gives, helps, and loves others without expecting anything in return. She’s always the first to show up when someone else needs help—often behind the scenes, without recognition. Today, she’s the one who needs us.

In the past few months, Carrie has faced thyroid cancer, which spread and required major surgery this past Friday to remove half of her lung. Her courage and faith through this journey have been incredible, but the truth is, no one should have to fight this battle alone.

To make things harder, Carrie recently started a new job and hasn’t built up any paid time off. Just days after surgery, she returned to work because the bills don’t stop—even when her body needs rest. She’s pushing through pain and exhaustion because she doesn’t want to fall behind—but she shouldn’t have to.

Galatians 6:2 reminds us: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Today, I’m asking for help carrying Carrie’s burden so she can focus on healing instead of worrying about finances.
