Carrie Marie Kunde Memorial Scholarship

We are fundraising for the Carrie Marie Kunde Memorial Scholarship. Carrie, my daughter, passed away from a rare cancer in January 2009, at the age of 23.  After her passing we began the Carrie Marie Kunde Memorial Scholarship, in the spring of 2009. We have awarded 1 to 2 scholarships every year, at Fowlerville High School since that spring. Carrie battled cancer almost her entire time while attending college at Michigan State University. Carrie valued her education above all else, and never gave up. She attended classes right up to her last days. Michigan State University in a separate ceremony honored Carrie and awarded to the family her diploma she would have received in the spring of 2009. To carry on her belief in higher education we began this scholarship. We seek funding to be sure to carry on her scholarship, if funds are available we would love to increase the number of scholarships given. This is our 13th year at scholarship night this year. We are proud and dedicated to continuing this tradition in her honor.
