Bring Back Pleasant Valley's Beloved Market

Donation protected
The old Bay Road gas station and market was built in the 1930's as the only place for Pleasant Valley residents to get the good stuff, eat, gas their new motor cars and shoot the breeze. This market was shutdown in the early 80's and has sat closed leaving locals without a spot to commune that was truly theirs. A place where everyone was welcomed, every name known. Now in 2025 the artists, musicians and craftsman who live there want to bring The Gem of Pleasant Valley back to life. Reviving the talent of locals, breathing new life into old treasures and always having a pot of coffee on for friends and neighbors!

This is no small task. To restore her to her former glory we have to replace lights, fix roofs, paint, resurface floors and build a bathroom that is up to code as well as get business licenses and deal with a much more involved local government and the work/permits/time that goes along with that.

We can do the labor and craftsmanship ourselves, but as artist and creatives....we don't have the money needed to do it justice. That is where we need you, the most meaningful part of this gathering place, to fill in the gap. Every dime is needed to push this unique project to completion.

The goal is to open this space up for a wide range of artists and involve the community in art nights, vintage treasures, unique trunk shows, handcrafted goods (by people you know and love!), one of a kind books, weird and wonderful curios and so much more! Like with every good story, this market starts with a hero, YOU!

Lets revive the crossroads of Pleasant Valley together!
