***UPDATE 11/01/25***
As of yesterday, the Subaru was taken into a repair shop. This shop originally quoted us around $4500 to replace the hood, broken headlight, and damaged radiator support under the hood. They told us the earliest we will hear back is Tuesday. We have a rental car that will be partially covered by insurance.
I had paused the fundraiser while we figured out exactly what we were going to do since it was taking a while to get money together. Money raised so far will go toward the rental for now. Any further funds raised will go toward repair costs insurance doesn't cover and maybe the debt we accrued trying to figure out what to do after the Kia died.

***UPDATE 09/19/2025***
We are taking a momentary break from shopping around for repair prices while we wait on the plates and getting rid of the old car. We decided not to go through insurance any more than we already have to avoid our car insurance trying to total the car. Once we get an updated repair quote, I'll update again.

Hi there, you might know me as Remy. I'm an artist.

2025 has been very brutal to my partner and I. We moved in March to get away from a bad living situation, and just a few weeks ago, our car which had seemed fine suddenly had an engine failure that would have been astronomically expensive to fix out of pocket. We got help from my family and got a used car. Unfortunately, before we could even get the plates my partner got into a fender bender that might have totaled the used car we just got. He absolutely needs a car in order to get to work, which is our main source of income. The situation is desperate, and we could use all the help we can get to get the car back into driving order.
Quotes so far have been over a $4000, so I wanted to make sure we have enough to cover everything. Anything extra will go towards other bills.

Here's a picture of the car before the accident.
