We all know that the mosque is a sacred and central place for Muslims. It is a place of worship, reflection, and community building. However, it is with great shame and sadness that we admit the women's section of our local mosque has been neglected for far too long. It is a shame for our community to have let it reach this state, and we must take action to rectify this.

The most pressing issue in the women's section of our mosque is the carpet. Over the years, it has endured significant wear and tear and has become a source of discomfort for our sisters who use the space. The once vibrant and colorful carpet is now faded, stained, and frayed in many areas. The seams are coming apart, making it a tripping hazard for those who enter the area.

A clean and comfortable carpet is essential for a welcoming and conducive prayer space. The current state of the carpet detracts from the beauty of the mosque, and it does not provide a suitable environment for worship. It is unacceptable for our sisters to pray on a carpet that is in such a dire state.

As a community, we must take responsibility for the upkeep of our mosque and ensure that it is a welcoming and inclusive space for all. We cannot afford to turn a blind eye to this issue any longer. This is why we are launching a fundraising project to renovate the women's section of our mosque. Our goal is not only to make it more visually appealing but also to create a safe and welcoming environment for our sisters to pray and connect with each other.
