Carolynn Stewart's Funeral

Hi. My name is Jasmine Katona. On March 12th, 2025 at 4:29pm, my grandmother Carolynn Stewart passed away. She passed after taking a bad fall, which caused a bleed in her brain. It was so sudden. The nursing home that she was at did not call an ambulance for her after she fell, they checked her vitals and decided she was fine and left her for around 5 hours. They also did not have the proper protections in place to prevent her from falling in the first place. If they had done their job properly, my grandma might still be alive.

We talked to a funeral home, and unfortunately they require funds up front for a funeral. My family can not afford this, as none of us make a lot of money at all. My grandmother only has a small life insurance policy that will not cover even half of the funeral expenses.

Because of this, we have had to postpone the funeral until we have the funds to give her the funeral she deserves.

We are hoping to raise enough money for a burial service and coffin. Her cemetery plot and grave marker are already taken care of.

We were given an estimate of around $11,000 dollars.

We are also hoping to avoid going through the city, as they would take possession of her death certificate.
