Our dear friend Carolyn, who just moved to NY and a new home was devastated when a fire engulfed her home thanks to the recklessness of her landlord. The little money she had was sunk into her home. EVERYTHING was burned.
She lost EVERYTHING. Her landlord threw out a mattress from next door neighbor and they didn't discard properly. Someone threw a cigarette out and mattress caught on fire. She ran out only taking her purse and knocked on everyone's door to wake them up and then rang everyone's doorbell and literally saved everyone in the building.
She literally called me to say she had no clothes, nothing. All her important documents burned. She had been through SO much and has such an amazing heart.
