Many of you know that Carol Jansen has suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, resulting in the need to be on oxygen and a continual decrease in her quality of life. She was recently fortunate to have a successful double-lung transplant (hooray!). Now begins the work, and cost, of recovery. While the surgery itself is covered by insurance, many necessary expenses are not. Particularly, travel back and forth to Arizona for follow-up care and copays for immunosuppressant medication will run over $10,000 in the upcoming year. I would like to help Carol through this year without her having the added stress of worrying about money.

We all know Carol from at least one of her many journeys in life; as family or friend, college classmate, neighbor, work colleague, artist, and probably mostly for her love for her dogs. We are all pulling to see Carol chasing her grandchildren around the house and back in the show and agility rings, so let’s help make this upcoming year a bit easier.
