Carol's Journey to Walk: Your Help Needed

My name is Carol and on November 26th, my life changed, but it will not change my life forever. I went in for a spinal tap, which I've had many times before, and three days later, I was not able to walk. Days after, I went into respiratory arrest and almost cardiac arrest, which caused me to be intubated. With all of the prayers and the amazing support group I have, I am now in an inpatient rehab. Although it’ll be a very rough, long, and brutal recovery to be able to walk again, yesterday I was able to take my first step with assistance, and as of today, I am now officially able to sit in a wheelchair for one hour.

I am doing this GoFundMe because I found out my insurance won’t cover a lot of equipment that I would need at home in order to do daily activities like taking a shower with a shower chair and even a walker. As well as being able to financially have my mom stay with me to help me get around to appointments as long as I can.
