Hi, I’m Carol!
I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) on July 22nd, 2020.
TNBC is the most aggressive form of cancer. Yesterday we learned it has metalized into 4 of my lymph nodes. Which means treatment needs to be just as aggressive.
Talk about a year of topples, ripples, and surges. March 2020 – COVID shut down the live event industry in which I worked with Cvent. May 2020 – My position with Cvent was eliminated along with thousands. July 2020 – I’ve been diagnosed with TNBC. August 2020 is my 50th Birthday! Welcome to the beginning of my second half-century.
God has been faithful to walk beside us on what has seemed to be the dark days of my life and has been lighting the path of what’s to come. We have been walking out treatment options for us. Western medicine has offered me 24 weeks of chemotherapy, surgery, and 6 weeks of daily radiation. Integrative medicine has offered me an aggressive treatment plan of three intense weeks of non-toxic and low dose chemotherapy with a year of additional immunotherapy treatments weekly and a few additional intense weeks.
I have had several consultations with different doctors and treatment centers. I am here to say we have made a decision and along with confirmation, we are going to use the integrative medicine option. My scheduled arrival date is August 23rd!
The initial three-week intensive is 35,000, due on my 50th birthday, August 21st. The remainder is for the weekly immunotherapy and follows up an additional week of treatment in three months, due by Thanksgiving 2020.
When we hear cancer, our initial thought is a death sentence. What I’ve learned is cancer is our own body fighting itself. With the proper treatment for you, the rights food for your body, the proper care of your body, with emotional healing, and spiritual wellness your body can heal.
