Carol's fight with ALS

In July 2014 the unthinkable happened. Carol (Foley) Crowley of Norfolk, MA (formerly of Norwood) was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). A terminal neurodegenerative disease that causes loss of muscle control in the body.

She and her husband Paul, who then became her caretaker, had to brace themselves and prepare, as best as one can, for the road ahead. They made construction changes to their home to conform to her disability and wheelchair accessibility.

In April 2019 the unthinkable happened again. Paul lost his very short battle with lung cancer. It is devastating enough to lose a husband, but Carol was left without a caretaker as well.

As the disease has progressed so has the need for daily care. Even with help from the State, the constant care has drained savings and leaves Carol in financial difficulty.

This is where YOU can help.

The family is asking for your support to help keep Carol at home and provide the help she needs on a daily basis. Carol and the family have searched out all possible options to support her staying at home and providing the assistance she needs, but they need additional financial assistance from friends, family and anyone who has had a similar experience and wants to help.

Any donation you can make is so very much appreciated.

Thank you!
