Carol's cancer Journey (Carol Linder)
Donation protected
In March 2022, Carol was diagnosed with a tumor in her tongue. She endured a several-hour surgery to remove the tumor and rebuild the muscle. Carol, had many hours of physical & speech therapy to learn to eat, drink and talk again, and radiation treatment.
Just as Carol was healing, the doctors found a new tumor in her jaw. In September 2022, doctors removed the tumor and rebuilt her jaw by using a bone from her leg. Carol endured months of wound care, therapy, and other medical treatments.
This January (2023), a new tumor was found in her neck/collarbone area, and surgery was scheduled for February. On the day of surgery, it was determined the tumor had grown too large to remove. Sadly, we have been told that Carol’s cancer is terminal. Carol recently finished four rounds of radiation and will start immunotherapy shortly.
Last March, after surgery, Carol had to quit her job to focus on her cancer. Carol & her husband, Paul, will be married 25 years in August. Paul works two jobs to continue to pay housing & medical expenses. Their daughter, Melissa, not only has a career, but three daughters, and has dedicated much of her time for appointments and care for her mom. As a family, we are asking for donations to ease the financial burden of medical expenses so the family can focus on Carol’s journey. Many prayers are needed as well.
All donations will go to an account designated for medical expenses. Thank you!
