My name is Jason and I'm setting up this fund in memory of my mother, Carol Ann (Stevens) Mecum.

Before passing, Carol expressed a passionate interest in preserving and promoting what she considered to be one of her life's greatest achievements:  the 'Sermon on the Wall' mural painted on the sanctuary wall at Northwest Community Church in Tampa, FL.


The mural tells the story of Jesus through 12 vignettes, each depicting a key moment from the Gospel.  This massive mural completely covers a wall measuring 70 ft by 26ft and was donated to the church as a love offering.  Working for free and in their spare time, my mom, aunts and sister worked on the project for over 4 years.


All funds collected will be used to preserve the mural for future generations visiting the church as well as finding innovative ways to present digital versions of the mural in a mobile format - reaching as many people as possible.


This was mom's final wish - not to receive any credit or special ackowledgment but to know that her efforts would have a way to reach additional people.  Please partner with me to ensure this happens.  Thanks!
