Our dear friend, loving mother and cherished grandmother passed away unexpectedly on January 14th, 2017 in her Edina home, after a great week celebrating her 70th birthday. The loss of Carol leaves us all with broken hearts and great memories of our time with her.

After 6 years of being paralyzed in a tragic car accident, she was blessed to have the opportunity to stay in the comfort of her own home. Her daughter, Autash was fortunate to have stayed with her at home, giving her the best possible care as her Personal Care Attendant after the accident, meanwhile putting her own career on hold and at the same time raising her three boys as a single mother.

Now that Carol is suddenly no longer with us, her family is struggling to make ends meet. They are unable to stay in their home of over 30 years, due to financial hardship. In preparation of letting go of the home that they all shared and organizing Carol’s estate, we are asking for crowdfunding to assist with the many financial obligations that the Kittelson family is now facing.  With funeral costs, costs associated with consolidating Carol’s life long belongings and monthly household expenses, we’re looking to our community to help a family in need.

Any proceeds that exceed the total cost of funeral/burial and the handling of her estate, will gratefully be used to assist the Kittelson family in organizing Carol’s personal affairs and help the family transition into a new home, as they cannot afford to stay in their home for longer than a few months. Any and all donations are tremendously appreciated and will help the Kittelson family find a new life without their best friend, beloved mother, and loving grandmother.
