Please help to fund Caroline’s treatment for breast cancer so that she can focus on making a full recovery.
Mother of two boys aged 9 and 17, Caroline Moore is the best friend anyone could ever have. She’s a genuine, supportive and beautiful soul who has this way of making you feel like you can achieve anything in life. I have watched her be there for so many, including me, through thick and thin. People tend to open right up to her, and she makes time and room for all of them. When she told me that she had breast cancer, I just couldn’t take it in. I still can’t.
After promising to lose weight for some time Caroline committed to a weight loss program earlier this year and thank God she kept her word. After shedding 13lb she detected a lump hidden in her breast, confirmed as an aggressive stage 3 breast cancer in June 2016.
I knew she would be more worried about her children, family, friends, colleagues, and everyone else than herself, and how uncomfortable she would be with having to receive support rather than give it. I keep telling her it’s ok to accept help from those who love her.
Inspired by her children, I admired the determination with which Caroline picked herself up from the floor, arranged a bank loan, and wasted no time seeking and starting cancer treatment spending £6.7K or BD$18K on expenses including one surgery so far. She moved onto Chemotherapy but found that the 6 sessions needed will cost £6.6K and, even with medical coverage, she simply cannot afford it all.
In addition to Chemo. treatment to be funded going forward includes another surgery, radiotherapy, hormone therapy, follow up CT scans, biopsies and various consultations. A lot for anyone to cope with I know.
When I realised Caroline was struggling to fund her treatment I asked her if I could reach out to you all for help. It’s bad enough that she has this awful, life threatening disease, but watching her and her family worry about finances, when all she should be doing is trying to survive is more than I can bear. It brings me to tears.
With your help Caroline can make it and her boys can resume the endless bear hugs they've been missing.
All donations make a difference no matter how large or small.
PLEASE give whatever you can so that together we can smash that £12.6K target now, and get Caroline the treatment she desperately needs to have a fighting chance at life. Her next chemo session is due on the
3rd October 2016.
Thank you! Your support is everything. I will provide regular updates as they unfold.
And to our beautiful Caroline. We love you. Stay strong, focus on recovery, and know that you are not fighting alone xxx
