Caroline’s Journey to Fargo
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Caroline Biegel, and I’m a dedicated wrestler and student at DePaul Catholic High School. I am reaching out for your support to help me continue pursuing my dreams in wrestling and academic excellence.
Caroline’s Journey and Achievements:
Wrestling has been a passion of mine for many years. I’ve dedicated countless hours to training and competing, with the goal of becoming one of the best in the sport. Despite facing significant obstacles, including financial constraints and a serious injury, I remain committed to my goals.
One of the most challenging moments in my wrestling career occurred during my sophomore year of freestyle season. While qualifying for Fargo, I completely tore my UCL ligament. The injury was devastating, and I felt like all my hard work had gone to waste. The prognosis was grim; without surgery, I wouldn’t be able to wrestle again without risking further injury to my arm. I was heartbroken and panicked at the thought of never stepping on the mat again.
However, I chose to fight for my future in wrestling. I scheduled the surgery, and after six months of intense physical therapy and recovery, I was back on the mat. My first practice back was just cardio, but the feeling of putting on my wrestling shoes again was indescribable. It gave me a new perspective on my journey and fueled my determination to succeed.
As a full-time, year-round athlete, I also manage a demanding academic schedule. I am enrolled in all AP and honors courses at DePaul Catholic High School. Balancing my studies and training is not easy, but I am committed to excelling in both areas. I often put in extra time with teachers, tutors, and on my own while traveling for competitions. I wouldn’t take any of this for granted.
Within this year alone I have competed on stages in Las Vegas, Virginia Beach, finally gained a national ranking of 25th in the country, and had the opportunity to wrestle for the Beat The Streets Annual Fundraiser in the Zigfield Ballroom. Within a month, I became a 2x All American, placing 8th at the US Open in Las Vegas and placing 6th at the Virginia Beach High School National tournament. As for my high school season, I have qualified and placed for states every year. I continue to work as hard as I can to be a State Champion my senior year.
How You Can Help Caroline:
The costs associated with training, traveling, and competing at a high level are significant. Any contributions would not only help cover these expenses but also ease the financial burden on my parents, who have supported me every step of the way.
Caroline’s Goals and Future Plans
Your support will help me to continue my journey on the mat and be apart of my trip to the biggest national tournament in the country, Fargo, in Fargo North Dakota. Many months of long practices, sleepless nights, traveling to national tournaments , and the support everyone has given me has brought me here today.
I am incredibly grateful for any support you can provide. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to achieving my dreams and continuing my education.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey.
With gratitude,
