Caroline's Hope: Fund a Life-Saving Transplant
Donation protected
My name is Caroline and I am trying to help a very good friend of mine, Jennifer Bauer, who needs financial help to heal, rebuild and breathe a little easier.
April 1st, 2025 Jen received the gift of life~a liver transplant that saved her after years of debilitating illness. That gift came from no ordinary source. It came from her only child and greatest blessing: her son, Jordan, just 24 years old.
Jen was born with a rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), which often takes many years to diagnose. This disorder has affected nearly every part of Jen’s life. Pain, surgeries, dislocations, fatigue-EDS robbed her of so much, yet never her will to fight.
A Mother’s Fight for Survival
Jen’s journey to this moment has been nothing short of heroic. Two years ago she was diagnosed with end-stage liver failure-a devastating blow. She was told the transplant list was her only hope. But being eligible meant scaling mountains most people never see-endless tests, hospital stays, and financial battles with the healthcare system pushed her resources and spirit to the brink. Through it all, Jen persisted with quiet courage, never asking for help, which is why I am…
Jen’s miracle child, born against all odds (on what would have been Jen’s grandmother’s 100th birthday), stepped forward to save his mother’s life. After extensive screening, it was determined he was a perfect match! Four months ago today, both mother and son underwent surgery with remarkable success.
Today, Jen is in recovery, filled with gratitude but still facing a long road ahead physically, emotionally and financially (medications she needs to take for the rest of her life). She wants to give back in anyway possible and make a difference. She does so by speaking at meetings all over the country thru TRIO (Transplant Recipient International Org.) helping others find their path…
I believe everyone deserves a chance to live if blessed enough to get one...I am a 6-year survivor of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, and my GoFundMe page was essential to my healing when having to wait 5 months for my Social Security Disability insurance to kick in.
It’s hard to ask for help. Jen never wanted to be in this position. But none of us gets thru life alone, so I’m asking you to please consider donating. Any amount, no matter how small, makes a difference.
And if you’re unable to donate, please consider becoming an organ donor (it appears as a ♥️on your drivers license )
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you,
