Caroline’s Epilepsy cure

Caroline is a devoted wife and mother that has been struggling with epilepsy since a young teen. She was born with a birth defect that lead to the seizures later in life. She suffers from a mixture of different seizure types that include grand mal and focal seizures. She has between 3-13 focal seizures per day at this point. She has had many tests and procedures done in the last couple years in order to help diagnose the type of seizures she has and help to find a cure. Medication has stopped helping Caroline. The next step for her is a Stereoelectroencephalography (SEEG) it is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that is used to precisely find the areas of the brain where seizures originate. Following this procedure Caroline will need to stay 3-4 weeks in an epilepsy monitoring unit. Once all the data is collected it will be determined what further surgeries she will need.

We are asking for monetary help from our community to help with her medical and living expenses while she has to be out of work for this procedure and her future surgeries.
