Hi, my name is Verity and I am fundraising for Caroline's Dog Rescue.

I first met Caroline when looking to adopt our dog, Suki, she was rescued from a kill shelter by Caroline and was looking for a home. Suki’s tail was missing; she had a hole in her ear and despite this was timid but very loving. She had never had a home and if not for Caroline would have been killed as a young pup, knowing only a life of hardship and fear. Suki is now a very much-loved part of our family thanks to Caroline and her love and compassion for dogs.

For those that don’t know Caroline, she runs Caroline's Dog Rescue in Bristol, UK and has been rescuing dogs for over 14 years. She spends all her energy and time saving Dogs like Suki in Romania that have been abandoned, that are abused and left on the streets to fend for themselves, that are strays rounded up into kill shelters for disposal. She witnesses all kinds of atrocities but never gives up on the animals – she is truly an exceptional person!

The dogs helped by Caroline receive veterinary care, shelter and food plus she seeks homes for foster or adoption for them. Currently though, due to a whole host of demands such as storm damage and harsh winters – the shelter has run low on funds required to feed the dogs.

Christmas and winter are coming! The Rescue need £2,500 to clear their existing food bill. Currently before more can be ordered from the company, Caroline often must plead for funds to clear at least a pallet (500 Euros), or the dogs will be fed bread, and the situation is not good.

To help Caroline and the dogs so deserving of love and a better life in her care, I would like to raise funds to clear the dog food debt and even get ahead so that we can raise funds before things get desperate! This will mean that the dogs are fed this Christmas plus we can take a little pressure off Caroline who worries herself constantly about their welfare and funding! Also, it allows time to breathe and focus on making the situation more futureproof.
