Hello, my name is Caroline. I hope this finds you well, and you are staying healthy during these uncertain times. The past few months have been very difficult for me. On top of navigating a global pandemic and unemployment, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, which is a chronic disease that causes long-lasting inflammation and ulcers in the digestive tract. I’ve had severe pain, cramps, nausea/vomiting, bleeding, and other uncomfortable symptoms which left me bed ridden and unable to work temporarily.
Since I began having symptoms, I have seen my doctor twice, gone to Urgent Care, was taken to the Emergency Room, and then saw a G.I. Specialist. I have had a CT scan, blood tests, and finally a colonoscopy, in hopes of getting an exact diagnosis.
The procedure was successful and I am happy to have a diagnosis, but all of these visits plus multiple medications have left me with a large bill. After months of being unemployed, and now missing work due to my symptoms, this bill is very intimidating.
I am asking for your help during this difficult time. This disease is chronic and I have many more appointments to come. Any amount you can donate makes this bill more manageable. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your donation. Your support means more than you could ever know.
