Caroline, Fiona and Carol’s Loch Katrine Challenge.
In August 1998, we tragically lost our dear school friend Ghislaine Niven to leukaemia at the tender age of 18, not long after we finished up at HSOG.
In memory of our charming, quick witted, highly intelligent, fiercely loyal and brilliantly sarcastic friend who never failed to make us cry with laughter, Caroline Wood, Fiona MacLean (Hamilton) and Carol McDougall are going to laugh, cry and sweat our way round Loch Katrine on September 14th to undertake a team triathlon. The challenge will include Fiona cycling the 37 mile circular route round loch Katrine, while Carol will swim the 13k from pier to pier and then both will run the 13 miles back along the loch. Whilst Fiona and Carol undertake the legs of the triathlon, like all events, this could not be achieved without the support required. Caroline is travelling back from Australia for the occasion and will be by our sides along the way to carry our supplies, support and motivate us both to the end.
Please help support us complete this challenge by donating to Blood Cancer Uk; a charity dedicated to researching and supporting all types of blood cancer.
