I am starting this GoFundMe to help my cousin, Matthew Frenette and his young family cope with the tragic loss of his partner, Caro.
Caroline was a quiet, beautiful, loving and big hearted soul. Dedicated partner to my cousin Matthew and loving mother to their two beautiful boys.
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sudden and devastating loss of Caroline Corbin. On December 10th, 2025. Matthew and his 2 children lost their beloved partner and mother to suicide at the age of 42 years old. No one in our family realised that behind Caroline’s big smile was so much pain, and it is this haunting thought that will forever remain a question for them all, WHY?
Caroline had dedicated her life to being a stay at home mom of Dylan and Nathan. They were her life, her everything, which is why none of this makes sense. My cousin knows he has a lot more to take on now that she is gone. Seeing as Matthew is the primary breadwinner for the family, this will be a extraordinary time for him to navigate. I know they are going to have a long challenging road ahead coping with the new reality of life without Caroline’s love and guidance.
Through this page, I'm hoping to help my cousin by, easing the financial burdens that lay ahead for him and their 2 young boys. All the funds raised will go directly towards; funeral costs, rent payments, counseling fees, and immediate living expenses.
I am also hoping to bring light to the MENTAL HEALTH epidemic – to bring awareness that such a permanent decision often made because of a temporary problem, has a lifelong devastating ripple effect on the loved ones left behind.
For anyone who needs to hear this please know
“YOU ARE NOT ALONE, YOU ARE LOVED AND DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP OR ACCEPT IT WHEN OFFERED. THERE ARE ALWAYS BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD.”
The outpouring of love and support from family, friends and the community during this unimaginably difficult time means the world! A financial donation, however big or small, will have a huge impact on helping this young family navigate the tough journey ahead.
Thank you so much for taking the time to let me share this heartbreaking story. And thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support. xo
Sincerely,
Amanda
