My name is Maryanne W., and I am trying to raise funds to help my youngest daughter, Caroline K., and her newlywed husband, Brian K., with their financial burden, which is a result of his diagnosis and treatment for Immunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma, two years ago. The onset of his illness was severe, and rigorous treatment followed, including chemo and stem cell transplant. Brian has been out of work since that time because of the disabling nature of the disease. After surgery and recovery, we had hope because he was in remission. That's when they decided to set their wedding date for last August 2024. Now, just a few months after the wedding, Brian started exhibiting symptoms of lymphoma once again in his neck. They have faced challenges getting appointments for diagnosis of this confirmed relapse. Future treatment includes experimental treatment and another stem cell transplant from a donor who must be matched based on human leukocyte antigens (HLAs), which are proteins found on most cells in the body. HLA matching is more complex than blood type matching
Meanwhile, Caroline is struggling to keep it all together as she works full-time in a veterinary clinic where she is also continuing her education in that field in her 'spare' time. Caroline also has a small business of her own, where she has put her self-taught skills of cake decorating to work. Together, Caroline and Brian have (prior to his illness) rescued 3 dogs (one of them with only 3 legs) and a very young kitten. Caroline is trying her hardest to support the household expenses, a mortgage, education loans (big debt), car payments, medical expenses including travel expenses for Brian's treatment, you name it. She is tired and desperately needs help to get through whatever lies ahead. As her mother, I hope, pray and ask that their situation will touch your heart to donate whatever amount you can to help them get through the difficult road ahead.
Thank you and God Bless you for caring and sharing.
