Dear Family and Friends,
I have been given an opportunity to continue my education and athletic career in basketball at Carolina University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on a partial scholarship. I am blessed and very excited to take this opportunity and put forth my best effort to maximize my potential on and off the court. I've finished up this current summer session at my previous school, College of San Mateo, resulting in me receiving my Associate of Arts Degree, and now I plan to work towards my Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management with a minor in Esports. I will continue to keep my priorities in line so I can reach my goals and make you all proud. I believe accepting this offer, to what is actually a private, Christian school, is a great decision to make because it will help continue and strengthen my relationship with God.
It has not been an easy road for me and my family, with my mom being on disability for almost a year now and my dad not working since his injury to his knees and surgery in 2013. I can only thank God for the family, extended family, and family friends who have poured out their love to us to help. The partial scholarship I have been blessed to receive covers my tuition thankfully, but there is still room and board, along with other fees that come with attending the school, that we have to cover. I am reaching out in hopes and prayer that you can invest in me, my education, and my athletic career.
After going over all the financial aid, it comes to a total of $30,000 to cover the 3 years I will attend Carolina University.
The goals I set for myself have been something I've taken pride in since I was a little kid, and I know God is guiding me in the right direction and will help me to accomplish these personal goals.
I am grateful for whatever you are able to contribute to help me reach my financial and educational goals.
Sincerely Grateful,
Daniel Benjamin
