We can use your help in making positive changes to Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption. I have been working closely with the wonderful volunteers at our shelter to get many things that have been in need of repairs and updated but since Covid-19 we have little money for the updates needed. We had to cancel 3 major fundraisers and more will be canceled in the coming months. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption: CARA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides shelter and care to domestic companion animals until a loving, responsible home can be found, or lost pets are reunited with their guardians. We rescued and found homes for 363 animals in 2019! We rely on individual and company donations, and fundraising efforts to operate our shelter and care of the dogs & cats in our care. We are the only "no kill" animal shelter in Lee County, Sanford, NC.
We are in an old building with tons of repairs and updates needed. Some repairs can be put off, but some can't. For years we have been working with household washer and dryers which were not made for six loads a day, everyday, and to handle dog beds and large blankets on top off that! We get donated used machines to use and even have had new ones that only last for a year if that. The constantly break down and cause many delays and aggravations to the volunteers we overwork as it is on a daily basis. We cannot thank them enough.
I would like to focus on the upgrades need to get a new industrial washer and dryer that will last for many years to come! This will take a lot of pressure off of our team so they can focus on the love our animals need to get them into loving fur-ever homes.
Please help me get our shelter in order and show our volunteers they are appreciated.
