Caroles Cancer Drug Appeal
Help me get the drugs to live a long life!
I am a 46 year old mother of 2 young children living in Ireland.
In February this year I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. I had chemotherapy followed by surgery. I am now cancer free in as much as my doctors can tell! I still have radiotherapy treatment in the coming weeks and I will be taking drugs to keep my cancer from returning for many years.
There is a drug that my oncologist thinks I would benefit from called pertuzumab. Because I have already had both my chemotherapy and surgery I do not meet the HSE (Ireland’s health service) criteria to receive this life lengthening treatment.
My only option is to fund this drug myself. I need 18 doses of this drug to fully benefit from it. One dose is €3000. The total cost of this drug is €54000. Every cent raised will go towards the treatment I need
I so much want to live a long, productive life and be here to see my children grow. I am appealing to the world to help me do this!
