Carole Vivier Scholarship for Women in Film

TOP SECRET! PLEASE DON'T MENTION THIS CAMPAIGN TO CAROLE OR SHARE IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA! It is a surprise and will be presented at her retirement event in June.

As many of you know, Carole will be retiring this spring after 30 years in the production industry. During her time as the CEO & Film Commissioner at Manitoba Film & Music, Carole helped build the foundation for what the sector has become today. She leaves behind an incredible legacy that continues to serve many people in Manitoba and around the world.

In recognition of her contributions, we are setting up a legacy project that addresses a topic close to Carole's heart: The Carole Vivier Scholarship for Women in Film.

As a mentor and advocate for women, Carole has always bolstered female involvement in the industry. In recent years, she has also worked closely with the Interactive Digital Media Program at Sisler High School to help ensure opportunities for their graduates. This scholarship will address these two passions by offering financial support to a female or non-binary graduate of the program who wishes to pursue education and training in film, television or animation. The recipient will be determined by a committee composed by the school's Interactive Digital Media Program and will take into consideration ability and financial need.

The scholarship will be announced to Carole at her retirement event in June. This year's recipient of the scholarship will be at the event to present Carole with this gift.

If you feel connected to Carole and her work over the last 30 years, we invite you to donate to this legacy project. All messages left on the site will be put into a book and presented to Carole at her retirement event.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.
